Knuckle Joe's brawlification

As some of you know, ShadowHunter and I are making Knuckle Joe as an expansion character for Super Smash Flash 2. We decided to brawlify him, and asked people to submit their brawlification ideas. In the end, Proton's version was voted the best. Since he had only done one sprite, the task fell to me to brawlify the rest of the sheet. However, I wasn't convinced that Proton's brawlification was the way to go. The main thing that bothered me was that it looked a tad "faded", if you know what I mean.

As such, I decided I would try again, combining my brawlification (based of off Hypersonic's) with Proton's. This is the result:

So, the question is, which one do you guys prefer? Should I combine them differently?
